Medea [r]: From Greek mythology, she was the princess of Colchis, and daughter of Aietes, and granddaughter of the sun god Helios who had many adventures. She was skilled in sorcery and magic and assisted Jason on his quest to get the Golden Fleece, married Jason, bore him two sons but killed them when Jason sought divorce. She went to Athens, married Aigeus, had a son, but was later exiled from Athens for attempting to kill Aigeus's son Theseus.
