Kylie Minogue, OBE, born 28 May 1968, is an Australian singer-songwriter and actress. Initially rising to fame in her role in the 1980's in the Australian soap opera Neighbours, she began her career as a recording artist in 1987. She has also launched her own designer range in underwear named "Love Kylie" in Australia.

In 2008 she was awarded an OBE for services to music.

In Neighbours, Minogue played the role of Charlene Mitchell. The popularity of her character was reflected in her becoming the first person to win four Logies in one event in 1998, including becoming at the time the youngest winner of the popularly-voted Gold Logie.
