Gary Luck

Gary Luck is a retired General of the United States Army, who commanded United Nations Command/Combined Forces Command in South Korea and XVIII Airborne Corps in the Gulf War. He is an adviser to the Center for Security Policy. Korea When former President Jimmy Carter visited South Korea in 1994, he said General Luck told him that if North Korea invaded, in Carter's words, "the conflict would probably not last 90 days and much of North Korea would be destroyed, but more than a million people in and around Seoul would die from such an attack." Luck, in 1996, objected to a Joint Chiefs of Staff decision not to deploy missile defense to South Korea. Iraq XVIII Airborne Corps conducted the fast-moving "left hook" of Operation Desert Sabre, outflanking Iraqi Forces. References
