The Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (International Aeronautics Federation; FAI) is the world governing body for the many and various air sports including aerobatics, air racing, ballooning, gliding, hang gliding, parachuting and paragliding. It was founded in 1905 and has its headquarters in Lausanne.
