EBSCO is a privately-held American corporation that manufactures various products (such as fishing lures) and is best known for electronic publishing for libraries. It is subscription provider for more than 300,000 title listings from more than 78,000 publishers worldwide. It was founded in 1944 as Elton B. Stephens Company, and now has 3000 employees in the US (based in Birmingham, Alabama) and 2000 more worldwide.

Its online services include Academic Search Premier, with full text for of 4,500 journals, (3,700 peer-reviewed). PDF and HTML backfiles extend to 1975 or further are available for well over one hundred journals; searchable cited references are provided for 1,000 titles.

America: History and Life is a partial index of scholarly articles on the history and culture of the United States and Canada, from prehistory to the present. It has indexes and often abstracts for 1,700 journals from 1964 to present. Historical Abstracts is the companion textbase that covers the history of the world (excluding the United States and Canada) from 1450 to the present. Both are produced by ABC-CLIO.

ATLA Religion Database with ATLASerials combines an extensive index to journal articles, book reviews, and collections of essays in all fields of religion with ATLA's online collection of major religion and theology journals. The ATLA Religion Database includes more than 517,000 article citations from more than 1,616 journals (506 currently indexed), more than 220,000 essay citations from over 16,100 multi-author works, and more than 474,000 book review citations. This database begins in 1949 although indexing for some journal titles extends back into the 19th century. This database is produced by the American Theological Library Association.

Business Source Elite provides full text for 1,100 business publications, of which 500 are peer-reviewed. The index covers 1985 to present.

CINAHL Plus is the world's most comprehensive source of full text for nursing & allied health journals, providing full text for more than 620 journals indexed in CINAHL.

Columbia Granger's Poetry Database, published in print by Columbia University Press, contains works of poetry found in anthologies, and volumes of collected works and selected works for individual poets. This database currently has more than 175,300 poems in full text and more than 500,000 poem citations.

ERIC, the Educational Resource Information Center, contains more than 1,194,000 records and links to more than 100,000 full-text documents from ERIC, focused on research reports from schools of education in the U.S.

Library, Information Science & Technology Abstract (LISTA) indexes 690 periodicals, plus books, research reports and proceedings. Subject coverage includes librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management and more. Coverage in the database extends back as far as the mid-1960s.

MAS Ultra - School Edition is for high school libraries. It contains full text for more than 500 popular, high school magazines. It provides more than 360 full text reference books, 85,639 biographies, 104,481 primary source documents, and an Image Collection of 285,912 photos, maps & flags, color PDFs and expanded full text backfiles (back to 1975) for key magazines.

Military & Government Collection covers current news regarding the U.S. military and government. It provides cover-to-cover full text for 300 journals and periodicals and indexing and abstracts for 400 titles.

Newspaper Source, updated every day, provides cover-to-cover full text for 28 U.S. and international newspapers. The database also contains full text television & radio news transcripts, and selected full text for more than 260 U.S. newspapers.

Primary Search provides full text for 70 popular, magazines, 1990 to present, for elementary school research.

PsycCRITIQUES, produced by the American Psychological Association (APA), is an electronic serial of book reviews featuring full text reviews of current scholarly and professional books in psychology, and 40,000 older reviews dating back to 1956.

Short Story Index, produced by the H.W. Wilson Company, is a detailed index of more than 76,500 stories from more than 4,025 collections. This reference database grows by 4,000 records each year, and includes coverage dating back to 1984.
