Combined Forces Command Korea is a combined headquarters for the Republic of Korea and United States of America forces in South Korea. At the present time, its four-star U.S. general commander also is head of the United Nations Forces in Korea, United States Forces Korea and the Eighth United States Army.

As U.S. forces draw down and the competent Republic of Korea forces become even stronger, overall command will pass to a general of the Republic of Korea. Binational manning is already the doctrine: if a unit or section head is Korean, the deputy is American, and vice versa.
