Burger King is a global chain of hamburger fast food restaurants that was founded in 1954 by James McLamore and David Edgerton. It started as InstaBurger King selling mainly hamburgers and french fries and now has over 11,000 restaurants all around the world by starting to franchise in 1959, and has many new things added to the menu.

It is the second most popular fast food resturant, with McDonald's still the most popular. Their menu includes hamburgers, fries, fish, chicken, salads and breakfast. Burger King differentiates itself from the predictability and efficiency of McDonald's standardized sandwiches by allowing customization; their motto is "have it your way."
