A definition or brief description of Benjamin Britten.

An English composer born in Lowestoft, Suffolk on Nov. 22, 1913. He was noted for his operas which include The Rape of Lucretia (1946), The Turn of the Screw (1954), and Death in Venice (1973). He also wrote choral and orchestral works.
