Greek mythology has numerous characters who don't kill children and serve them as dinner to their fathers, like Atreus did to his brother Thyestes' children. Greek mythology is populated with a wide range of gods and goddesses, humans, mystical forces and beasts. These stories have been a vital part of Western civilization and have been source material for Renaissance painters such as Correggio. Pictured: Leda and the Swan.Painting circa 1532.
