Born in the late 70's, I grew up on a small family subsistence farm in rural Washington state while being home schooled. Despite all the fun of feeding, watering, and chasing after various livestock of all sizes, I developed a deep fascination with the operation of things and began to disassemble, study, and reassemble whatever device on which I could get my hands. I still remember the first time I took apart a tape measure! I didn't ever get that one back together. (If you've ever had a tape measure apart, you'll know why a 10 year old might have a hard time!)

As I grew, my hobbies grew as well to include computer programming first in Basic and then in Pascal and C and assembly, and then also for different platforms ranging from personal computers to small embedded microchips. I also got into radio controlled airplanes and ham radio and robotics and many different areas of science.

I also tutor homeschooling children on areas of science and technology, often using a video and then doing a hands-on science experiment where the children repeat some of the experiments done by the founders of science.

As a child I became a Christian and have been amazed at the path on which God has lead me since then, as He has taught me through life how so many fascinating things work and to love and seek truth - wherever it leads!

For the past 10 years or so I have worked for a small company designing electronic circuits and printed circuit boards, and writing firmware and software code, doing Linux server administration and advanced network routing and investigation, and of course working with customers on the phone.
