Article name

This article is infected with Curse of the Commas. It should probably be "History of the United States Democratic Party". --Tom Morris 06:13, 11 July 2008 (CDT)

the comma allows it to follows the style used in most history articles. U.S. is a disambig term, and is better than "United States" which can be mistaken to be part of the name. Richard Jensen 07:24, 11 July 2008 (CDT)
